Elliot is from the small town of Bolton Landing, NY in the Adirondack mountains. He began climbing in 2000 on a Outward Bound course and has never looked back. He has climbed extensively throughout the US and Canada.
He holds a BS in Adventure recreation from Green Mountain College. He is pursuing certification from the American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA). He is currently a Apprentice Alpine Guide, Assistant Rock Guide, and has completed the Ice Instructor course. His medical certifications include Wilderness First Responder and CPR. He holds a Pro 2 avalanche certification.
He has guided climbers since 2005, working in Alaska, Wyoming, and New Hampshire.
He moved to Anchorage in 2014 where he lives with his wife Paige Brady, their son Hayden, and their little dog Zoey.
Elliot guides in Grand Teton National Park with Exum Mountain Guides in the summer months, instructs for the Alaska Avalanche School, and guides for the Alaska Mountaineering School on Denali.
